| Phenomenal set by Graziella Laffi -- the so called SPRATLING OF PERU -- she was born in Florence, Italy and went to work in Peru in the 1950's -- Most of what I've seen of hers has an indigenous art feeling -- this set may be based on a breastplate, but it is strongly Modernist Design and Grand in scale -- the necklace is ivory with silver spacers - the front is made of hand made units that are strung together with chain to move beautifully when worn --- the silver and ivory drops are 1 1/2 inches long -- the front is about 6 3/4 X 6 1/4 inches including the drops --- the earrings are 1 inch square - 2 1/2 inches long with the drops --- marked STERLING - PERU - G. LAFFI -- all in superb condition -- Please check the photos even though they don't do it justice. | |
